I just love this punch...I could drink the whole thing I think! This was the punch we served at my wedding, and I got this recipe from my friend Kim who also served this at her wedding. It is her grandma's recipe. I don't know what it was called, but I call it Wedding Punch! I use it for my kids parties now!
46 oz. can Pineapple Juice
46 oz. can Orange Juice
3 oz. box strawberry gelatin
3 oz. box cherry gelatin
1 1/2 cups of sugar
(2) 2 liters of ginger ale
Dissolve sugar, strawberry gelatin, and cherry gelatin in 3 cups of boiling water. Add pineapple juice and orange juice. Add enough water to make 6 quarts. Freeze. Let thaw to slush before serving. Pour cold ginger ale over slush.
Ginger ale needs to be really cold so it doesn't melt the slush when you pour over. You can also freeze some in bundt pans for pretty rings.
When I'm making for my kids parties, half of this recipe is plenty. I will pour half in two gallon bags to freeze. Then will just use one of the gallon bags of punch and one 2 liter ginger ale. Then the other bag, we drink later!!
